Autumn Hands and LKI Annual Holiday Boutique

The weather has turned cold here in Henderson taking what little humidity we have from the air making my hands weathered but content to have been creative.

I have 10 containers of grunge dolls and grunge ornies (not bad for having only 2 1/2 weeks notice) hoping to fit in my car along with framed screens Sam made for me to hang my dolls.  My good friend Sandi is providing tables and an ezUp for my space and will be there to help me.

I hope to see a lot of my (missed) So Cal friends this weekend.
Looks like the weather will be nice.
I will keep you posted on the turn out.
Wish me luck!

The Pumpkin Patch...Then Off to Prescott

A pretty quick Halloween this year with the Grandkiddles off to Prescott to spend it with family.
We did however get to spend the night before they left at the "Pumpkin Patch" here in Henderson.

I asked our Granddaughter Adelina if I could take her photo in the tractor...so this is what she did.
(I don't know where she gets it, lol.)

Ariston was so happy to see his Daddy and Adelina go around in circles on the swing (it just made me too dizzy to watch).

My daughter in law Christine sent these photos last night.
This is our son Alec with Adelina the "Earth Pirate Witch".
The photo was taken in front of our little, old house back in Prescott.
How I miss those days.

Adelina, Ariston and Mommy...they are all so beautiful.  Love you and miss you.  See you soon!

2015 OCTOBER PRESCOTT ART SALE & BRUNCH

My little sister Barbie flew in from San Marcos, Tx this year on my birthday...best gift ever!  She just left this morning after spending 3 weeks with me (miss her already).
We worked together on some grunge dolls for the 2015 October Prescott Art Sale and Brunch at my good friend, Lynne's home on Mt Vernon St.
The few days before were pretty windy but on Saturday the 3rd of October the wind spirits were out of wind and it was a perfectly beautiful Prescott fall day!

I wasn't able to take a lot of photos this year.  We had to set up early in the morning that Saturday due to the weather the days before.  And we were too busy later with all the shoppers.

Before all the cooks in the kitchen.  Finally got a taste of the 'Creme Brûlée French Toast'. To die for!

Grunge Reaper.

A Frida Kahlo doll created by my little sis.  You can find another on my eBay site.

Lynne had more artists/creators this year and needed to open a tent up in the front yard for more display.

Grunged dolls.  A few left you can find on my eBay site under seller name: grungegoddessprimtives.

Barbie's "Franken-fleur".

Grunged witch hat.

My good friend Melanie.  She is always there to help!

My little sister Barbie and Mel at the $$ table...I didn't get to take a photo of Jenny the "Money Grabber".  Such a sweet lady!

I plan on attending the next sale in April 2016.  And I hope to see more of my good friends and family there again!

Thank you Lynne and Russ Kincaid for opening up their home for another great event.

Now on to Florida

Another great trip to sunny Sunrise, Florida, but this time driving vs flying.  We drove from San Marcos, TX all the way to Pensacola, Florida and stayed the evening.  Early next morning we drove straight to Sunrise.  A L O T of driving...thank goodness Sam and I like each other.

My Aunt Mary had a few days off to join us at the beach in Fort Lauderdale (minutes from her house).

Sam enjoying the very hot sun (crazy intense heat until a cloud passes over) and we can take sun living here in Nevada.

We had lunch at a wonderful restaurant with a lot of food.  Aunt Mary ordered the Hawaiian style sweet bread...by the loaf.

I ordered one of my favorite Caprese salads.  The mozzarella was so soft and the tomatoes were perfect.

Sam and I took a day to golf with the Iguanas.  It was like a scene out of Jurassic Park with a herd of little dinosaurs scampering every time we drove by one of their water holes.

And they were all different colors.   One that was a beautiful cinnamon color was just too fast for me to take his photo.

My golfing guy wearing his Chicago Bears colors.  GO BEARS!

We enjoyed a pizza night with all of my cousins.  This is Greg, Rachel and Tommy.

Leah and Sam...we all live vicariously through Leah's Facebook page ;o).

Aunt Mary's condo got a sprucing up by Sam concrete painting her front courtyard.

Looks so nice.

This is a curly tailed lizard.  A few years back while on my daily walk I thought they were chipmunks.  Helps to wear my glasses.

A couple of days were spent at the pool.

Tommy, Aunt Mary, me, Rachel's sunburned forehead, Leah, Paul and Gregory.  I love them all so much!!

Sam took me for a breakfast on the beach.  The humidity was insane compared to where we live.  Even the cracker and the rice in the salt shaker didn't have a chance.

A cloud burst heading our way.

It passed us to the left.  We weren't prepared for a downpour at the beach.

We always have the best visits.  My Aunt and cousins and their significant others are very special to me.   They are the funniest, nicest get together people to hang out with.  I miss them daily.
I love you guys.  xxooxx

We Drove Next to Tex-as...

My sister and brother in law bought a home in San Marcos, TX after living in Port Isabel for many years.  Sam and I decided on our road trip to Florida to stop and stay for a visit with them and see their beautiful home.

We drove out the week the Blanco River flooded carrying houses down river.  A lot of rain at first, then the mosquitos.

My silly little sister, Barbie.  She and Eddie took Sam and I to a favorite spot to have "strange" brews and "strange" wings.  I don't do beer, but I do do wings!

We tried new alcohol recipes.  Mango juice and sweet white wine.

Their backyard is huge.  And soo green!

This is their rescue dog Beaches.

Sam decided to mow both the front and back.  He loves mowing grass.  Sadly we don't have any in Henderson.

We took a drive to  Fredericksburg for the day.  Beautiful little German town.

Sam and Eddie being Sam and Eddie.

Our niece Natalie.  XXOO

We played Mexican Train (Dominos) every chance we had.  Nat came to stay the weekend with us and told us we were a bunch of old people...she's pretty smart.  lol

Homemade guacamole...with Sam's salsa!

Our nephew Nolan enjoying a cigar.  Can't believe our kids are old enough to drink and smoke cigars.  Where has all the time gone?
We had a wonderful trip.   I told Sam on our way back we need to stop and stay again.  I miss my sister.  Can't wait for her visit in September.
On to Florida!
