8 Graduations and a Baby Shower BBQ...

Last Thursday we drove into Bullhead City, AZ for our nephew Gavin's, Mohave High School graduation. The last of the Buhler kiddles to graduate. Congratulations Gavin! We love you so much! And don't you just love kisses from your Dad? lol.

Then on to Glendale, AZ right after to celebrate three graduations from Mountain Ridge High School. Three beautiful girls who have grown up together, MacKenzie, Erin and Meghan. Each going to attend three different colleges, UCLA, NAU and UofA. Thank you all for including Sam and I in your celebration. We truly miss our wonderful AZ neighbors.

(Sadly we had to miss Katie and Kurtis' graduation party on the 21st in Glendale, AZ but had the chance to congratulate them last Friday night. We also missed Scotty and Aaron's party that same day in Prescott, AZ. Three of them graduating from NAU and one from UofA.)

Then back home here on Saturday to help prepare for a "Celebration of Life" BBQ/Shower for our coming Granbaby A yesterday. Even with the strangest weather, ever, for a Memorial weekend, we still had a great time. Thank you to Briar, Jimmy and Christine's sister Trisha and her beautiful family for everything they did to make this wonderful day extra special for Christine and Alec. (Aubri...you're hired!!)

Love to you all!

Hmmm, sure looks like Colorado to me...

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia

While sipping my green tea this morning, (Yes, no coffee. My new allergy doctor says I'm allergic to milk and milk by products and the only way I like my coffee is with half and half) and reading my morning Yahoo page, I came across an article on "The Most Beautiful Places in the World".

This place caught my eye. It's a lake in Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia, but it sure could be a larger scale version of Hanging Lake in Glenwood Springs, Co.

Hanging Lake, Glenwood Springs, Co

Nature works her magic all over the world, amazing. If you've never hiked up to Hanging Lake, start working out and take a trip. We haven't been there in years. We used to make it a favorite summer vacation spot when our children were young. I think I will have hubby put this on our agenda for this summer. It's beautiful at the top, hard to breathe, but breathtaking!

I Got Butter on my Dooney...

Sadly a dollup fell into my beautiful Dooney & Bourke handbag Kel Kel gave me for Christmas, aghh. What are the odds! Pretty good, forgot I live in Vegas, LOL.

Girls morning out today with my two beautiful daughters and baby to be! We enjoyed a big breakfast at Blueberry Hill and then on to our "chick flick", ~Something Borrowed~. Great movie.

Happy Birthday To My Little Sister

A Sister’s Love

A sister’s love is special
in oh so many ways
Now miles stretch between us
and minutes turn to days.

We’ve shared so much as children
the tears, the joys, the pain
A lifetime spent together
those memories remain.

In times gone by we’ve pondered
the paths our lives have taken
Knowing that in spite of this
our sister love unshaken.

A sister’s love is special
in ways that are unspoken
Still that binding force exists
our sister love unbroken.

I Learned About Love From You

I learned about love from you,
Watching your caring ways.
I learned about joy from you
In fun-filled yesterdays.

From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small.
I learned what I know about living
From you, as you gave life your all.

The example you set is still with me
I'd never want any other.
I'm thankful for all that you taught me,
And I'm blessed to call you "Mother."

Happy Mother's Day!

Giddy Up and Go! Kentucky Derby Day

I forgot all about the Kentucky Derby today until my good friend Cheryl talked about who she chose to win yesterday at lunch, "Pants on Fire".

I went to the Derby page and chose a horse by clicking on a polka dotted jockey outfit. Low and behold...there was Nehro, Number 19, the same as my birthday! Cute jockey too ;o).

Only 6 hours 20 mins to start the race from the time of this post.

Hope you all enjoy your Derby Saturday...I'm off to mow the lawn!

Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle...

Bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like

This is Jenean Morrison's new fabric line for Free Spirit called Wild World. I've been inspired to do this to my cruiser for the summer.

Okay, maybe the dinning room needs a lift too!
