Lake Hava Good Time!

Had a great visit with our long time friends, Rob and Sandi, at their vacation retreat in Lake Havasu, AZ last week. (Hint: their young children were in our wedding.)

Sam and I haven't been on the lake for almost 20 something years (our daughter Jordan was born there in 1989).

Weather was just the way I like it on the lake...HOT! Makes the water most enjoyable!

Forgot how beautiful the lake really is.

Rob and Sandi seasonally and weekend rent their vacation home for very reasonable rates.

If you think you might like a weekend in Lake Havasu, contact Sandi at: 805.657.6886

Thank you again Rob and Sandi for another great visit! Can't wait to see you both Father's Day weekend here in Henderson! Rob get ready for a couple Royals!!

All Decked Out...

And soaking up the rewards...

We put the finishing touches on the deck this morning before the sun came up. What a difference it made on almost 9 years of use.

Who knew 5 cans of Sure Step and a little bit of elbow grease could make us smile (we are really getting simple in our not so young age).

Another item checked off our "To Do" list...what will be next?

Oh yeah, window washing on the 2nd story...can't wait, not.

Painting Beauty...

Along with sprucing up the backyard by adding a small awning to one side of the house a couple of weeks ago, we decided to paint our pool deck...by ourselves. (A savings of $800.00...woo hoo!)

What do you do with your Friday nights? lol

Gardening Angels...

Last week Sam and our son Alec built a garden box for my salsa garden.

Today I am planting 'Sweet Banana Peppers', 'Jalepenos', cilantro and onions.
Tomatoes are already growing in a pot close by.

Christine and Adelina joined us.

Now if they could only invent a plant that grows tortilla chips!

April 29th...GODSMACK at The PEARL

Kel Kel and I attended Godsmack's concert at The Pearl, Sunday night.
It was great to meet the boys in the band before the concert and have them sign our posters.

(Sully you are a cutie!)

After the "Meet and Greet" and before the concert we started dinner off with a Lychee Martini...I am so into Lychee anything these days...Lychee Saki rocks!

Then on to the concert...

NEW RULES:

1. No high heels when your VIP tickets say "floor"; Note:without seats.
(Thank goodness mine weren't too bad, Kel wore her gorgeous LouBoutin's, so I delivered the drinks.)
2. Loud music concerts are for the hearing impaired or persons under 50.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Eddie Vedder in the fall keeps the volume down for this ol' lady...

Great time as always Kel Kel! xxoo
