Matt and Brielle's Wedding May 4, 2013 The Start of Something Good!

This past weekend Sam and I were invited to help Grandparents Rob and Sandi with their Granddaughter Brielle's wedding preparations.   Brielle is the daughter of Phil and Adrienne (Adrienne was our flower girl at our wedding 31 plus years ago).

Brielle and husband to be, Matt decided on a 'Tuscan' theme...wait until you see the venue where they chose to be married!

THE FLOWERS:

Brielle's family had been collecting different shape containers/vases for the floral creations.

Friday Sandi, myself and her friend Marcia created 33 floral arrangements. What an experience.   Not only can Sandi create, she is also a wonderful teacher!

She says 'just create'.  And for those who know me as a 'left side brainer', that's a tough sentence to follow.  So I shut my eyes and dove in.

White and green hydrangeas, white and green mums, wax flower, white, champagne and soft green roses.  White orchids and ivy to accent.

Sandi, whom made all the floral arrangements for "Our" wedding back in 1982, has continued with her talents creating gorgeous floral master'center'pieces.

We started at 9:30 am, small lunch break, and finished by 5:00 pm.

The boys, Sam and Rob, taking a cigar/pool break.

Phil and Adrienne own 'Lasting Memories', an event planning/catering company.
I will post their 'Free Consultation' information on my next post.

To be continued...The Venue at Vivian Gardens.

A Mother's Blessing

A mother's love's a blessing
No matter where you roam
Keep her while she's living
You'll miss her when she's gone
Love her as in childhood
Though feeble, old and grey
For you'll never miss a mother's love
Till she's buried beneath the clay

You would have been 81 this beautiful day. Happy Birthday to you!
I love and miss you so very much,
Norine

Happy Saturday!

My day is always brightened by the face of our Grand Daughter Adelina.

Daddy Alec and Adelina came to dinner the other night.

She asked "Bapo" to take a washcloth and clean her up and this is what happened.
Who knew having a little piece of pizza in her hair would create such an extreme hair do!

And this is what Adelina thought when she saw her photo.

Nee Nee sure loves this lil' angel.
Happy Saturday!

A Celebration of Life...We Love and Miss you Mom

In Memory Patricia Ann Buhler
March 17, 1932-September 27, 2012

My Aunt and Uncle from New York.  My Aunt from Ft Lauderdale.  My Sister and a nephew from the bottom of Texas.  My Brother, Sister in law and nieces, nephews and even a Great Nephew all from California.  Nieces and nephew and our Sister in Law from Lake Havasu City, AZ.  Our Dad and brother and bestest friends, Joanne, Vanessa and my wonderful Sister and Brother in Law in from Arizona.
All joined us last weekend to help celebrate our Mom, Patricia's life with a reunion of our family.

Adelina met new cousins and Great Aunts and Uncles.  And Great Great Aunts and Uncle.

Barbie, Adelina and Parker.

My littlest brother David sitting with Vanessa and nephew Nolan.

Niece Andrea with my sister, Barbie and Great Nephew 'Parker".

My husband Sam is my comfort, my right arm...love of my life.  He helped me put all this together and continued to help (and entertain) me in the kitchen and throughout the house all weekend.

My son Alec and nephew Nolan.

Nolan, nephew Gavin and David.

My Uncle Louis, Dad and my 'Favorite Aunt Mary'.

My 'Favorite Aunt Cenny and Favorite Aunt Mary'...two of the cutest potato peelers I know!

My husband Sam and my brother Ron.  It was an extremely cold weekend.  Guests from the East coast were surprised when I picked them up from the airport.  Rochester, NY weather was warmer I'm told.

A smile from my son Alec.

Vanessa, Nolan and Gavin under the heater.

Our pretty Ipo!

On Tuesday we visited Alec at the Cosmopolitan and then a brunch/buffet at the 'Wicked Spoon'.

My dancing Auntie.

My little sister Barbie and I.

We then made a quick walk to the Bellagio for a look at the garden.  Year of the Snake with my favorite red lanterns!

I can't believe how quickly time went by.  Loved our coffee mornings and evenings talking around the table with family.
Thank you all for joining us.  I love you all so very much.
